For students aged 8+

Tuesday afternoons 3.45-5.15pm (9 weeks of classes plus one catch up week for missed classes) with Helen

In this class students will be introduced to hand-building and wheel basics, working towards a range of vessels

We will cover:

• handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab work

• centering and throwing vessels on the wheel

• decorating techniques with rollers, sgraffito, stamping and carving

• underglazing techniques

During this time our young potters will learn to make a range of vessels and will end up with 6-8 fired and glazed pieces!

Materials included

We have one make up session in the last week of term, offered to those who have missed a session during the term.
