Learn to throw on the wheel or continue your journey on the wheel. Our 4 week courses are designed for all levels, including absolute beginners, to someone more experienced that wants to continue their ceramic journey, building upon existing skills and exploring project based concepts supported by your teacher.

For beginners, we will cover an introduction to the ceramic process including; how to throw vessels on the wheel, how to pull and attach handles, how to trim pieces, and prepare your pieces for firing.

All class mates will have the opportunity to engage in various surface decoration techniques including imprinting, sgraffito, and decorating with underglaze, and an additional 2Hr glazing workshop as an option to book separately.

Our courses are designed to be relaxed and fun, and our staff will work closely with you to best support your ideas and practice!

Nitty Gritty…

*included in the price is the bisque and glaze firing of approx 6-8 pieces (depending on size). Any additional pieces can be fired for an additional $15/kg

*Up to 10kg of clay is included in course (any additional can be purchased for $3/kg)

*if you can’t make one of the classes we will try very hard to fit you in another session but can’t always guarantee it. We are also happy for you to send someone in your place or book into a ‘Clay mates’ session within the timeframe of the course.
